Approximately 1,800 housing units managed by Corvias, with rent based on BAH and utilities included. Neighborhoods like Buffalo Soldier Acres offer modern single-family homes.

Lawton 10–15 min commute
The largest community in the area and the most popular choice for off-post living. Lawton offers the widest selection of homes, apartments, restaurants, and shopping. Lawton Public Schools serves the city, with multiple elementary, middle, and high school options. Families on a tighter budget or who want to be closest to gates and services often choose Lawton first.
Elgin 10–15 min commute
One of the most convenient small towns for Fort Sill families — about 15 minutes from the gates. Population about 2,100, and hometown of Garth Brooks. Elgin Public Schools are well-regarded, and it's about 20 minutes from Lawton along Highway 277. People live here for the short commute, the quiet, and the close-knit community.
Cache 10–15 min commute
Classic small-town Oklahoma with a population around 3,000. Cache is known for its Main Street feel, annual Pumpkin Festival, and Cache Public Schools. Near Fort Sill's main gate for easy commuting, and close to the Wichita Mountains for outdoor recreation.
Fletcher 20–25 min commute
Population about 1,200 — more of a commercial hub than the other small towns, with a downtown district of local businesses and restaurants. Fletcher Public Schools serve the area, and Highway 81 makes the 20-minute commute to Lawton straightforward. It's small-town living with just enough bustle.
Sterling 15 min commute
Population around 200. One school, one post office, one gas station. This is real rural Oklahoma. The Sterling Tigers are the center of community life, and farming and ranching country stretches in every direction. Just 15 minutes south of Lawton on Highway 7 — space, quiet, and wide-open skies.

Managed by Corvias, Fort Sill's on-post housing includes ~1,800 homes in neighborhoods like Buffalo Soldier Acres. Rent is BAH-based and all utilities are included.
